The portal is both a dynamic recruitment and human resource management system and a secure shop window for ambitious international talent who are looking to be ‘cherry-picked’ throughout their career.

The three assets of TheCreativePortal™: process, data and automation all combine in various combinations to provide tangible time, cost and operational benefits to the client.

The interaction is facilitated by CRM technology within a web-based operating system, which enables easy access for client and candidate, as well as full control and management by specialist international recruitment licensees.

TheCreativePortal™ is designed to bring the people involved in the process closer together using technology therefore becoming involving as opposed to being participative. It was also conceived to enable virtual and autonomous working across the globe, maximising the return for all involved with minimal operational costs and overheads.

 
 
 

TheCreativePortal™ was conceived in November 2004 by Jon Alport, owner of Alport Careers and Nick Hawkins, consultant at BrandHawk.

Both partners had spent over 20 years working within the creative industry for prestigious design businesses such as Conran and Landor Associates before embarking on establishing their own practices in the early 1990’s.

Recognising the short-fall of access to quality people and the commodity-based approach adopted by recruiters Jon sort to fill a niche to represent top talent within the creative industry and formed Alport Careers in January 2000.

As an extension to the vision for raising the standards within recruitment today, he set out to re-engineer the recruitment process and create a bespoke, web-based ‘operating culture’ to transform the way the design and creative industries, and the talent within it, interact.
